Traffic light not detecting bicycles

When approaching the junction of Nodes Road and Newport Road in Northwood travelling along Nodes Road, the traffic light sensor does not detect a pedal cycle, forcing cyclists to wait for motor vehicles to come up behind and activate the lights. This isn’t a problem in daytime but at night cyclists have to wait several minutes for a vehicle to activate the lights.
