Further deterioration of road surface

The pictures show the progression of this pothole outside No 44 on southbound side of road.
The initial picture is May 2026, then June 2026, and then 12th August 2026. The latter shows that line painting occurred OVER the pothole and despite poor state of the road.
Previous remedial work by IR was a patch fill, and as can be seen, this has partly held, but now caused the surrounding area to deteriorate further.
The loose chippings are now being thrown-up onto the pavement by passing heavy vehicles (including much heavier electric buses). On more than one occasion myself or other pedestrians have been hit by stones and loose material thrown up by vehicles passing this area. Thankfully these have only been below knee-height, but I’m now concerned that debris will injure someone.
NB - loose chippings are currently reduced because the road/area was swept prior to line painting.
