Flooding

Sent to Island Roads 10 minutes later. Enquiry ref: 16307973.

Again the run off from Appleford Road overwhelms the drain and the surface water comes through my gate with considerable velocity (27 January) displacing gravel and damaging the underlying structure and incurring cost to effect repairs. I have reported this many times - it happens every time there is heavy rain because Island Roads raised the level of the road and reversed the camber such that THE WATER IS SPECIFICALLY DIRECTED AWAY FROM THE DRAINAGE DITCH AND INTO MY GATE. Nothing is ever done to correct this. I will be sending Island Roads an invoice to cover the costs of multiple repairs.
