Uneven Manhole Cover Outside 7 Ocean View Road

I refer back to my report of 26th February 2025 ref #16286475. Please have a look at that report as this problem has now reoccured.

The manhole cover was replaced approx 9 months ago by Southern Water contractors, it was laid flat to the current road surface but has now dropped on one side causing vehicles to drive over the raised part making one hell of a noise when they go over it.

The noise is driving I and the neighbours mad, I am even considering moving house because of it. The vibration is coming through the pavement and the foundations of the house / walls.

Please could you ask somebody to look at this ongoing problem. The worker I spoke to last year who was doing the replacement said jokingly he would probably be back next year to do it again! He wasn’t wrong it seems.

The exact location is outside number 7 Ocean View Road, Ventnor.
