Slippery leaves and mud on bend of The Causeway, Freshwater, leading to skidding

There has been a build up of fallen leaves, which have become slippery and muddy because of the recent heavy rainfall. Last week there was an accident on this corner where a vehicle skidded and collided with the bridge over the stream there, causing structural damage. This was promptly mended by Island Roads. However, the fallen leaves provide a high risk of further skidding and damage. (In the past I have generally cleared the area, but due to a back injury earlier this year, am reluctant to do it this time)
