Vegetation growing over main road

Each year I report tht vegetation including nettles and thorn shoots are growing into the road forcing cyclists to ride well away from the curb. In the past I have suggested that the vegetation be cut back during the growing season to coincide with an increased traffic use in the summer season. This request normally results in action in November, December or the following year too late to have an impact on the dangerous situation of thorn avoidence or potential scratches around the head/eyes.
