Verge has been allowed to encroach highway

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation Encroachment category by Andy Osborn at 09:14, Saturday 1 February 2025

Sent to Island Roads 1 day, 23 hours, 33 minutes later. Enquiry ref: 16284869.

Hello. The verge at the top of Redhill, Beirley, on both sides has been allowed to encroach on to the carriageway! This is impacting the space for two vehicles to pass safely.

It also reduces the space for pedestrians.

I support speed reduction measures but this in my opinion does the opposite as vehicles are forced to cut across the centre line of n corners - Or risk scratching the vehicle if they try to keep to the outside of the bend. The kerb side whtleine is no longer visible and there is at least 2 feet of road surface hidden on each side of the road. Thank you for dealing with this.
