Bench completely demolished

The Town Council has been advised that a van drove into the bench at the bottom right of Market Hill, outside Buff, completely demolishing it. There is also evidence that the concrete planter has been knocked off its supporting legs.

The bench has been left in a pile by the post box at the bottom of the hill, next to the cycle rack.

This incident is reported to have taken place at approximately 2000 hours on Monday 21 October 2024. Please access your CCTV footage to see the incident and identify the van that did the damage, before leaving the scene. I am sure you will want to notify the Police of the incident to your bench.

The bench pieces need removing asap.

We would also like the concrete planter reinstated onto its supporting legs and the debris cleared away. Thank you.
