Weeds including brambles intruding onto Appley Road in the area opposite the archery field to beyond Appley Manor Restaurant.

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation Encroachment category anonymously at 22:56, Wednesday 27 July 2022

Sent to Island Roads 1 hour, 13 minutes later. Enquiry ref: 16223824.

For the past few summers I have reported weeds including eye level brambles extending onto the carriageway. Last year having been scratched by brambles and forced to ride a bicycle towards the crown of the road I asked that Island Roads or the land owner cut back the weeds. This was not done until the end of autumn or even winter. The current growth of the weeds in the verge between the land opposite the archery field to beyond the area opposite Appley Manor is again forcing cyclists away from the verges, a more dangerous situation. Please can this growth be cut back now rather than waiting until it becomes progressively more intrusive, more dangerous for road users and more likely to cause injury to cyclists?
