The edge of the road has become silted up over time. As rain water and silt run down the lane after rain storms the silt is being deposited on the side of the road covering drain grids and narrowing the road.

This has been going on for some time and the edge of the road needs "quartering" to clear the silt and let the rain water flow freely. A lot of grass has grown in to this silt binding it and not letting it be washed away. As a consequence the road is becoming narrower. We have large farm vehicles coming up and down the lane all the time. Parked vehicles are having to park further out in to the lane making passing difficult for farm and delivery vehicles.
