Damage to private hedge at St Anns Property.

Reported via mobile in the Veg Impeding FW/CW category anonymously at 17:06, Thursday 23 June 2022

Sent to Island Roads 57 minutes later. Enquiry ref: 16221750.

We are aware that recently someone working with island roads came out to the public pathway to cut back the over growth and weeds on the path way, between St Anns & Silvermist. However during the process, whoever was cutting has cut back too far and chopped up our developing hedge (Photinia x Fraseri Red Robin) which had been planted and undisturbed since 2021 and was not scheduled to be cut in the first year of growth due to establishing. As a result of this we have now lost a hedge that cost us money and was planted to provide us with some privacy to our property. I am very unhappy about this as it is at my expense and I feel I should be reimbursed for the damage caused to my plants. They were planted specifically to ensure they did not intrude onto the public pathway. And stayed to our property boundaries. Please can you contact me. Kind Regards Hazel Wood
