Speeding and uncertainty of arrangements

Reported via desktop in the General (Traf. & Roadw.) category anonymously at 23:05, Sunday 14 March 2021

The junction of Medina Avenue, Newport with Church Litten. I have concerns about the clarity of the arrangements for new drivers in our residential area. This is coupled with the fact that many drivers seem to be taking advantage of the traffic lights being green for longer which seems to be encouraging them to approach this junction at speeds which are, in my opinion, too high. Perhaps clearer signage further back towards Matalan and 30 MPH reminders could be put in place as, whilst many drivers are safely negotiating the newly laid out junction it is, nevertheless, causing a degree of confusion which may cause issues or even an accident if not attended to immediately.
